I wanted to share a memory of Lisa from our days at Pitt when two art appreciation classes traveled to NYC to go to visit the art museums.

Late Saturday night after returning from the Empire State Building, exhausted and grateful to have survived our cab ride that we splurged on because we were too sore and tired to walk, Lisa declared there was no way she would ever live or work in a big city like NYC. Absolutely not. Pittsburgh was the right size for her and besides, the Pirates were there. What more could a girl need?

Fast forward a few years and one of the girls from Pitt who was on the NYC trip, ran into Lisa at Brave's stadium in Atlanta. Lisa was there working because she'd landed her dream job with MLB, which apparently was just the beginning for her.

I'm sorry we lost touch after college, but after reading her wonderfully written obituary, Lisa lived life well and to the fullest and it sounds like it was an adventure.

This was one of the most honest and beautiful tributes I have ever read. I laughed, smiled, and shed a tear. I did not know this extraordinary woman but after reading this, I feel as if I did! Hugs, love, and light to all...

Lisa my friend, candles that burn as bright as yours always burn out too soon....but what an amazing light they leave.

Sleep well my dear....
