My dear Aunt Phyllis was a beautiful woman who I always loved being around. She had a great spirit and was an inspiration to me. I will always remember her for her enthusiasm and love of learning - it seemed there was nothing she wasn't interested in or wanted to do. And, she was spontaneous. When she was in her late 80's I was on my way to Virginia and was going to spend the night at the historic and beautiful Nemocolin Resort. I stopped by iin Scottdale to visit briefly with her. She had just returned the day before from a trip with her daughter, and I casually asked her if she wanted to join me at Nemocolin. She was so excited and said she could be ready in 10-15 minutes. She took some things out of her already packed suitcase that she had not yet unpacked, threw a few new things in, put on a cute pair of tight jeans and HIGH HEEL SHOES! She looked adorable. Within 10-15 minutes we were on our way. I had a great time with her at Nemacolin and I will forever remember her wearing the thick white cotton bathrobe after she took a bath in the larger than life jacuzzi tub in our room that she almost got lost in since she was so tiny. She sat proudly in her bathrobe as we had breakfast delivered to our room, and she remarked how absolutely wonderful this was. She even took the bathrobe home with her. That was one of many lovely memories I have of my dear Aunt Phyllis.
