Rebecca Ward-Capano, 62, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She worked for Continental Airlines, New York Air and Eastern Airlines in various supervisory capacities, and during the last 28 years she was a training performance consultant, writer and instructional designer for Achieve Global. Becca is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Capano, of Ft. Lauderdale; her parents, Douglas and Elaine Peairs Ward, of Irwin; and two sisters, Pamela Ward Klinges (Chris), of Pennsylvania, and Nancy Ward, of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clyde F. Peairs, M.D., and Ardafay Kelly Peairs, of Sutersville; and by her paternal grandparents, Harry N. Ward, M.D., and Ruth Millikin Ward, of Hamilton, Ohio. The family is very grateful for the superb care by the hospice nurses and memorial contributions in her name may be made to Catholic Hospice, 14875 N.W. 77th Ave., Suite 100, Miami Lakes, FL 33014 or to a charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements were handled by FRED HUNTER'S FUNERAL SERVICES, Hollywood, Fla. A private family service is to be held at a later date.
