Reese Emrys Emanuel, 93, of North Huntingdon, was called home to Heaven on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. Born Jan. 14, 1923, son of the late Reese Price and the late Agnes Adamson Emanuel, in Turtle Creek, he was one of six children. After faithful service to his country in the Army, 207th Engineer Combat Battalion, during WWII, he returned home to work more than 40 years for the Union Switch and Signal, where he was a machinist and an inspector. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Past Master of Forbes Trail Lodge No. 783 in Export. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and his favorite thing was spending time at the hunting camp with his brothers, cousins, nephews and friends. He was a carpenter, having built the family home. A master of many talents, he was a weekend woodworker, loved working with stained glass, gardening, reading western novels, and building jigsaw puzzles. He was a good friend, loved by all who met him. He was a mentor, a loving husband, and a deeply loved father to three daughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Mary Lou Broadwater; son-in-law, Daniel Broadwater; two brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary Stewart Emanuel; adoring daughters, Bonnie (Richard) Rich, of Greensburg, and Barbara (Raymond) Baston, of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Alan Rich, Nicole (Nicholas) Baston-Balzer, Kimberly Baston, Kent Broadwater, and Ryan Broadwater; sisters, Hazel Brinton, of Level Green, and Ethel Gates, of Fort Collins, Colo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and second cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ray Lyons officiating. Interment is private.

My condolences to Mary and the family. Reese was a good man. I spent many quality days with Reese at the hunting camp during hunting season when I lived in PA.
