We are sorry for your loss. We have sweet memories of Tessie from high school and young adult years: football games, dances, proms and parties to name a few. He will be missed at class reunions. Fondly, Barbara Sabo Stewart and Bill Stewart

I best remember seeing Richard when Sandra and I ate at his restaurant, Tessaro's in Bloomfield, and later the City Grill.

Rich was a very hard worker and successful in all his endeavors, best of all he was a genuinely nice guy.

Thanks Rich for inventing your fantastic wood-grilled Gourmet burgers!

Rest in Peace my friend!

I was a semi-regular at the City Grill, often for lunch with the late great Tom "Maniac" McDonough who always ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with applesauce on the side, but never with cheese because, as Richie's wait staff came to know all too well, "Cheese is for rats. . ." Rich was invariably a great host and I'll miss not seeing him around...please accept my deepest sympathies.

My sincere condolences to the entire family !! Richie and I grew up on the same street (Hampton) and lived two doors apart. We were altar boys together, played baseball and football together and also worked on cars together.....one fond memory was his old '55 Chevy 2 door coupe and the fun time we had putting a rebuilt transmission in it...the toughest part was getting the throw out bearing synced with the clutch. Great memories for sure, but the best was the food and atmosphere at the Grille on the South Side in Pittsburgh. Rich was the best host and a life long friend....may he rest in peace !!
