I thought I would share the conversation I had with Ken for the family. Ken was in Scott's band "The Willis Turner Band". These are his words....

Tammy - Hi! I was so thrilled when I heard you two were together and so happy for you both. Scott was quite a guy ... and a good friend for 3+ years. I still crack up and smile when I think of him responding with his typical reaction when he was fired up .... "Holy Crap!".
Best, Ken

I only got to spend a few moments with Scott but he truly was a gentleman. His happiness was contagious and he was a joy to be around. One of the last things I remember him telling me was how happy he was to be a part of my family. I'll never forget the level of character he had. My deepest condolences

My daughter Tammy called me one day and said that she had gone on a date with a guy and she really liked him. She stated that they had talked for hours finding out how much they had in common. She felt like she'd known him for a long time. The guy she was talking about was Scott!
Once Scott entered her life she was happier than I've seen her for some time! I knew I was going to love him when we met because he had made my daughter so happy!! The first time we did meet was when she brought him for Christmas. He fit right in with our family and we could see the love they shared with one another. I firmly believe God had a hand in their meeting one another!
We couldn't have picked a finer man for her than Scott! He had all the qualities that you would want for a man in your daughter's life. She became a fan of the Pittsburg Penguins because Scott loved that team and he started liking the Seahawks because they were her team! They both loved hiking and were on a hike almost every weekend. Tammy loved art shows and Scott loved blues music they each introduced the other to all the things they loved. They brought a shelter dog , Jessie, into their lives and she went everywhere they went. I'm so glad Tammy has Jessie now to be of comfort to her and make her laugh at her antics! Scott loved my granddaughter, Christina, and he was like a father to her. She loved him right back!
Tammy called us on November 13th to tell us of Scott's passing. We were heartbroken and shocked! I wish they could've had more time together. We are so happy we got to see Scott and visit with him at our grandsons wedding only nine days before he was gone! Scott will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss him!
