All too briefly, I had the chance to re-connect with George this year. We hadn't met since high school 50 years ago. Merry wanted to know what he was like back then and my main memory was of joking around with him at the back of class. He was always far more entertaining than the teacher. I admit to being surprised he became a professor himself but can see that he brought his humor with him. As one of his students said, " He brought color to what could have been a colorless experience." A one-of-a-kind person and warm-hearted friend.

I'm writing this in tribute to a man who's heart was only exceeded by his compassion and passions. It has been said by many that a person survives as long as they are remembered. George has become part of so many, enhanced so many lives, brought joy to so many that he is not just among us, he's part of us. Our best judgment has been fine tuned by his challenge to think and reason. Blessings and may your spirit sparkle during this new adventure.

Professor Nock was an inspired teacher and a consummate scholar. I am grateful to have benefited from his teaching both at UPS Law School and in CLE sessions in later years. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Those unique persons in this world are a true treasure. Thank you, George, for being a mental and verbal match to Merry. Not an easy task! You left your mark on this earth---peace!
