Jay, Dane and Miles your father was a great person. He was my boss and mentor and our friend. He was a good example to other people, kind and thoughtful of others. We thought alike in most ways, our work ethic, socially and politically.
Your dad will be missed by all who knew him.
I'm sure your mom and dad are together once again and are as happy as they were in this life.

Our sincere sympathy to you and your families from our family on the death of your father. I remember when we were kids and the brothers would rent cottages in the Kawartha Lakes.
We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Uncle Ken's passing. He was full of life until the end. We loved how he kept in touch through email to update of family happenings and trips taken. I will always remember him as a man of faith to God and family. He was so proud of his kids and grandkids. Uncle Ken was always a good storyteller and lived an exciting life. I know that he served and cared for many. I am so thankful for the times we were able to spend with him visiting WA or him coming down to AZ. He was a great man who will be greatly missed by our family. From great niece Lisa (Hewitt), Al, Kendra, Lauren and Aubrey Fuller
Uncle Ken was known for hospitality. Always making everyone else comfortable. And sharing pictures. We missed the great Seattle/Denver Super Bowl party in Maui when we had to cancel our trip. How he would have given us a hard time when Seattle won. Remembering good times in Buckhorn, Lewiston, Tacoma and Maui. He will be missed. See you on Friday.
Thinking of you all. Uncle Ken cared so much about all his family. He was such a great, loving man, & a wonderful role model. He will be greatly missed. Love & prayers to you all.
Great nephew Chad Hewitt & family.
Jay, Dane, Miles and family: We were all so saddened to hear about Uncle Ken's passing. Our thoughts have been with you all (grandkids, too!) during this time. We have been remembering so many good times at First Christian Church, Family Camp, holidays, and of course at Buckhorn. Uncle Ken was always up for a fun time and an adventure. His love of family has made such a great and lasting impression on all of us. May we strive to live life as he did...so fully and joyously. Love you guys, and think of you often, Cousin Laurie

So sad to hear of the passing of my Uncle Ken, husband of my late Aunt Ruthie. Gloria and I send along our sincerest condolences to my first cousins Jay, Dane and Miles and to the four grandchildren. He was so proud of his family and he always sent along photos of special events taking place, particularly the graduations of his grandchildren. He is now at rest with his beloved Ruthie.

Dad, you were a man of great faith and full of love and commitment to your family. Your generosity and love for your Grandchildren and me was never taken for granted. I will always cherish the memories made and shared with you, Mom and the whole Hewitt Family. I love you and will truly miss you. Lorna
Dad: As your oldest son, growing up in the 50's & 60's, I presented many challenges to you & Mom. We often disagreed an many things, even after I returned from serving in Vietnam. Over the years I always respected your opinions, but rarely took your advice. When Mom's health began to deteriorate in 2008, I suddenly found myself in a different roll, not just as your son, but now someone who you could depend on to be there for the both of you, day or night. After Mom passed, we became very close, both as father & son, and now as friends. Over the past 5 yr's we have talked, at least once a day, everyday, and many days even more. From sports, to politics, to stocks & investing, and even to women! Now that was different!
I will miss you for the rest of my life, both as my Dad, and my best Friend. You and Mom are now "Together Forever" I love you Dad.
