My sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one Mrs. Van Buren. May the peace of God be with you in your time of grief.-Romans 15:4.
What a long life this wonderful lady was gifted with. I still remember when I was a kid and my mother sent for a book called "Growing Up And Liking It." Abby's book on becoming a young lady. Mother's often had a difficult time in the fifites discussing sex and other issues with their daughters. Mama read her column every day, and it was the word of God! Rest in peace Dear Abby...

Ms. Abigail,
Thank you for your years of service providing insight and perspective. I was born in 1974 and from the time I could read on my own (age 6) I read your column. I learned to look at every thing from all sides and with compassion. Your legacy lives on in each and every one of you readers and all those that they touch. Rest in peace.
