I watched Huell all the time and so did everyone else. I will miss him.
Huell was a great person. I watched his show while I lived in California and continued when I moved to Nevada! I loved his slight accent and his enthusiasm for everything! I will miss him and I will keep him in my thoughts when I feel down!
To, the family of Mr. Huell Howser, you have my deepest sympathy. I, have watched Mr. Howser, on his "California's Gold" television program over the years, and always enjoyed them. However, I was sad and shocked to hear of his passing, during a recent news broadcast in Sacramento, which highlighted the exhibit of the "California's Gold" program, at the "160th" California State Fair. He, has left an indelible mark, on California's history. He, will be missed.

I remember seeing Huell Howser when he was in Nashville. Also caught some of his California Gold shows, wish I had seem more. He and his shows were very entertaining. Happy to know California loved him.
I learned so much about California from watching Huell on TV. I learned about places I had never heard of. Thank You for opening my eyes and giving me a greater appreciation of the great qualities and treasures of California
Shocked and sad to learn of the passing of Huell Howser. My husband and I always enjoyed all his episodes of "California Gold". I've lived here nearly all my life and I wouldn't trade California for anywhere else in the world. Mr. Howser always made such wonderful presentations. We'll all miss him, I am sure. My husband and so enjoyed our years watching Mr Houser. I am a native Californian and he is from Pittsburgh. We took many road trips throughout California . California is a beautiful place. I look forward to the promise that God gives us found in psalms 37:29 " The righeteous themselves will posses the EARTH, and they will live FOREVER upon it" hopefully Huel will be able to explore many more beautiful spots of this earth then ...
