To Phyllis' family from ours:
With deepest sympathy we reach out to you. Phyllis was our son Arthur's second mom for several years at RPI. With her dedication and compassion, she inspired him to finish his degree in December 2013. Today he walks at Commencement due to her efforts, encouragement and belief in him.
I lost a wonderful friend when she passed. Both Phyllis and I believed in angels, and I do believe she will be watching Art -- and several others whose lives she changed -- walk today!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you know how much good she did for the students and their families at RPI, how many lives she changed, and how many friends she had because of who she was. She brought her caring and compassion to work, which made her so effective at opening doors for students. Arthur and we will never forget her.
