I did not know that Sophia had passed away until today when I visited my parents' gravesite. I am deeply saddened to know that such a beautiful and wonderful person is gone. She and my mom had been friends since childhood, and my mom loved her very much. I wish I had known so I could have gone to Cohoes to attend her funeral. I have many memories of Sophia, and I know that she and my mom are enjoying being together again in heaven. Peace and comfort to her family. Vichnaya Pamyat, Sophia.

Hi Mike, Lou and Stan. I am very sorry to hear about Sophia's passing. She made the best pitahi (sure I spelled that wrong) I ever had. I remember her fondly, and am thinking about you as you get through this. Call if you want to talk. (561) 516-0677. All the best

Mike and Family, My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. I just read the obit and am sorry I didn't attend her wake. I wish I had the opportunity to know her, she sounds like a very loving and talented woman who made her life and now her memory worthwhile.

Hello Mike, I knew your mother only in the later stages of her life when she did not feel well and was not quite herself. However, it was a pleasure to know her. Reading about her life is very enlightening and impressive. She was very talented. I know very loved and missed. It is a wonderful gift you gave her and continue to give your father. The love of a son knows no bounds. Love Always Craig Ritchie.
