I never saw Denny fly airplanes, but I saw him soar as a superb father and friend during the many years I was honored to be his kids pediatrician and to be someone whose kids joined Denny and his sons on Black River camping and fishing trips.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Denny's passing. My sincere sympathy to Nancy and the Kerkman family.

DENNY
I always had the greatest respect for you--the airmen who served under you were lucky to have such a warm and caring
C.O. This world lost a good one--the next world is better for the addition--------

God bless you, Denny.

I served under Denny with the ANG 162nd back in the late 80's. His wife Nancy was my oldest son's 3rd grade teacher. Denny took some of his valuable time to give him a personal tour of the base. He was a great guy. It was an honor to serve under him.

I am very proud to have served under Brig Gen Kerkman while at the 162nd, he was truly an outstanding commander. On behalf of my wife, Diana, and our family our thoughts and prayers are with the Kerkman family. God Bless.
