Elaine was indeed one of a kind! We met in 1989 through our love of horses & riding in the Rillito; we remained good friends over the years-walking the dogs together, sharing birthday dinners,& always being a touchstone for each other. She even "babysat" my beloved painted 6 ft.long oak table for 5 years - & used it as her office desk.I believe it almost made her cry to give it back! She was a loyal and honorable friend - & navigated my very complicated divorce which was granted on her birthday, June 30, 2003.I will forever be grateful for her friendship & generosity of spirit.

Elaine was my editor on Law Review. Wonderful sense of humor; very encouraging along with her critique of my work; such a gracious lady; so sorry to hear you were taken from us much too soon.

I enjoyed Elaine as an original, smart, and hardworking classmate in high school. She had a wonderfully dry sense of humor, and I wished I could have seen her more recently. Elaine, you are missed yet always in our thoughts. Stephanie Smith OLeary

I remember Elaine from high school. She lived in the same neighborhood as I did. We were able to hang out a bit while in high school. Following our years at PVHS our lives traveled different roads. Several years ago I tried to reconnect with her after learning where her office was located. The day I went to visit her office she was not in. In retrospect I wish I had tried again. I remember Elaine as a fun loving, energetic person who was more interested in making those around her happy. I regret not having reconnected with her and am so glad to have known her so many years ago. Rest in peace, my long ago friend!!!

Elaine was a classmate in law school, an adversary and co-counsel in family law cases, an attorney who appeared before me in court and a wonderful member of our local famliy bar. She always made me laugh whether I wanted to or not. She will be missed. Her family and friends will be in our prayers tonight. As God says:
When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 1 Cor. 15:54.
May you find the comfort that passes all understanding.
