Ron was my grandfather he would always cheer me up and he told me to make a snowman so next winter I will make one for sure.
Ron was fine man, dedicated to his faith and family. He had a great sense of humor and I am fortunate to have spent time with him.
Ron was my oldest childhood friend growing up two houses from him on east 29th and Walnut in Des. Moines. I spent much of my early life in the Orth household playing games and enjoying the wisdom of his mother & father. Although we went our separate ways following college at Drake U., Ron has always been one of my oldest and dearest friends. My sympathy and prayers to Carolyn and the rest of the family. A rare combination of a wonderful sense of humor and strong conviction of his faith.Roll models like Ron are hard to find these days. Ted and Gayle Wise
A leader of a strong family who obviously role modeled many. Thank you for giving us some of his time on earth.
