Woody Cohen passed away peacefully January 13, 2014 at the age of 85. Woody was a devoted loving husband and father. He will be forever cherished and missed by his family. My sister Jackie told me that Woody passed away last night. My wife and I remember Woody Cohen with fondness. We know Dee, Robbie and Sherri will recall Woody's life as a blessing.

Woody Cohen was a important part of many kids lives in Tucson during the 1960's. He was such a great influence for all of us JCC'ers growing up.

Hw was also very important to my father's weightlifting career. The JCC had a weight room and many lifting meets were held at the JCC. Due to Woody's leadership Paul ash represented the JCC in various national and international competitions.

Woody Cohen
He was truly devoted to all that he participated with. As a member of Saguaro Tucson Rotary I met Woody for the first time in 2000. He mentored me throughout his tenure as a Rotarian. His participation level may never be matched as he had over 35 years of perfect attendance. His leadership and devotion to his life passions is going to be missed by all Rotarians. As my sponsor for membership in Tucson Association Executives he constantly maintained contact as to guide me throughout the years. I thank him for all that he has provided me throughout my association with him. I am missing him.
Dee on behalf of Sonja and me thank you for sharing Woody with us and all the pleasant memories. Our Love to you and your Family.

Dear Cohen family,
Condolences from the Ledesma family. Mr. Cohen was always a very friendly and generous person. I remember the Whitmore days, Little League days, and the daily 6 AM rides to basketball practice with Robby, freshman year.
Later, Woody was able to handle all of the weekend warriors sporting needs.
May his spirit live on with all of you!

My formative, teen years were spent at the TJCC and can tell you that many of my philosophies of life, including how to treat other people, come from my experiences with Woody Cohen. I always enjoyed seeing Woody, never without Dee,throughout the years, and will truly miss him. He was one of a kind.

Dear Dee, Robby and Sherri,
You are in our thoughts. I know words can do little to temper your loss. My fondest memories of Woody are as my Little League coach with Robby and I as battery mates. I loved his casual and relaxed nature. May the time come soon when memories bring joy. From all the Ziebell's, Beth, Greg, Marsha and Glenna

We came to Tucson just around the same time as Woody and Dee. He was a wonderful man and influenced all around him in a positive manner. Wish there were more people like him in the world.

As a coach at Flowing Wells High School, I had the good fortune to be able outfit my teams with uniforms, etc from his sporting goods store. He was a pleasure to buy from him. May God grant his family peace and comfort.
