I've known Bert over 50 years. His contributions throughout his life should always be remembered for enabling thousands and thousands of people, medicine, education, and leading industries, many who didn't even know what he did for them and those that have forgotten. May he be at peace.

I remember Bert fondly from our days preparing the Tucson Pima County profile. He always had a unique and well thought out perspective. I always enjoyed our conversations.

Bert, what a life well lived.
My love and warm healing wishes to Janet and the rest of your family. Every year I reread the poem Bert wrote for my 50th birthday. (of course I've only read it once or twice!)
