Dear Kitty, Mother and I just heard of Richard's passing. We are saddened and send our hearfelt thoughts and prayers to you and the family. Mother has talked of you both so many times over the years since you were neighbors and friends on River Road. I remember you both as well. Again, our sincere condolences. We were stunned and saddened to hear of Richards passing. My son, Zack was so touched and inspired by their long talk at the picnic, that he was looking forward to more visits and showing Richard his jewelry. He was some man, that continued to make a such a possitive impression! We are so disappointed and our thoughts are with you and your family. Leisa and Zack on Genematas

Kitty, I always looked forward to seeing Richard, D.J., and you on the weekends when I worked at Annabell's Attic on Wilmot and 22nd. I learned so much about jewelry from Richard and he had so much patience with me. I enjoyed talking with the three of you and selling really cool collectibles to you too. You always seemed to find something that you couldn't live without which was cute. You had such a wonderful relationship with Richard and D.J. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kitty,
We were both shocked and saddened at the passing of Richard. We always looked forward to our visits with him when we returned to the States. Our sympathies to you and all the family. He was a true friend, honest and reliable. Always willing to help a friend. He had a wicked and wonderful sense of humor. We will miss him dearly. I wished he could of made it Down Under, as he had often talked about. I am sorry we couldn't be there. We were in spirit. Take care of yourself, and remember to call on friends if you need anything.

To the Schwartz family,
My sympathy goes to your family on your great loss. I knew Richard for many years starting at the Congress store (in the 60's, my dad used to clean the windows). No matter how many years passed between seeing Richard he always treated me as if I was extended family. He was a very kind, thoughtfull person that will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. May your memories of having such a special person as a part of your lives get you through this time of sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
