A true hero has been lost. This man and many like him have given us the freedoms that we all enjoy through their sacrifices. The Bible says this - Greater love has no man than this, that he should lay down his life for his friends. Thank you Bud. You are a great American.

Col Day was one of the finest and most sincere men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and talking with. His devotion to this country is evident in all he did and all he endured. Sir, we will meet again some day. Thank you for all you have done in service to our country and in service to all other veterans.

I met "Bud" when he spoke at the FBI's National Executive Institute in the early 1990's. His presence and humble confidence, forever changed my life personally. To have met "Bud" was one of my life's greatest moments; to have spoken with him in-depth over the years, provided insight into how a man's loyalty to family and country provide the foundation for how we should live each day.
