I am sorry for your loss and grateful for the time I was able to spend with Al. I can truly say that Al is likely the most dedicated and kind individual I have met. He demonstrated commitment daily throughout his time with the City, not only to his work but to all of us around him.
I am thankful not only for the time I had with Al, but that I had the opportunity to get to know him.
Al once gave me a gift; a knife that he found. And he said "I'd like you to have this, but not for work, keep this in your tackle box".
It's still there and I tell the story and think of Al each time I use it.
God Bless.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it wasn't a surprise, but it doesn't make it any easier. May God wrap his arms around you and your family durning this rough time.

Al was a wonderful friend and neighbor. When we moved next door to him 21 years ago, Al was quick to offer his hand in friendship as well as his helping hand to new, inexperienced homeowners. We will miss his wit, his gift of gab, his generous heart and above all we will miss his determination to always do the right thing.
