Mr. and Mrs. Alt were very good friends of the MacEachran family. Our parents all enjoyed bridge games. Dad and Mr. Alt loved to golf. I will always remember spending time with the family at the lake cabin where John made his "world famous" pancakes! Mr. Alt always had time for the kids, with a wide smile and a twinkle in his eye! It was a loss for all of Manitowoc when the family moved to Edina, but fond memories still linger. What a long and adventurous life he had. My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father, grandfather, greatgrand-father and friend.

John and family,
My sympathies go out to you! Clarence was a respected man to all. My dad worked for him at Rahr, so I knew. We as kids enjoyed growing up with him in the neighborhood. He greated us when at the house and especialy at the "kids dinner meals."
Sorry this is so late, but I just found out.

I remember Mr. Alt as the most gracious man that I have ever met.

My sympathies to the family. I was a childhood Waldo Blvd neighbor.
