Not sure what to say?

There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of Dan and Evie. I especially feel connected when I am walking in a field looking for artifacts. I feel like Dan is there with me again.

Dan and his wife Evie were one of the nicest couples we ever traveled with or rode cycles with or camped with etc etc. Dan was a fun loving man who took life as it came to him and used it to the max. He is in a better place now and someday, we will all be together again . Already he and Kee are more than likely together ! Miss them both, so much !

I didn't know Dan, although I went to Fairview and Ramsey. An old facebook friend of mine, Deb Feist who I just recently got reaquainted, wrote a very touching message about him. So good that it made me look up his name. As a youth I had a few run in's with teachers, not so good ones. But I did have a coach who took time to help me through some tough years. I get the feeling this man was much the same and from the sound of all the comments, he left lasting positive influence wherever he went. I have worked at a middle school and now at a prison and I can say, I think the inmates are a little easier to deal with. On behalf of myself and my friend Deb, (I know she won't mind) I would like to express my/our deepest condolences.

I remember Mr Beal from Fairview Jr High. Such a nice man. Always very approachable and easy to talk to. My mom's cousin Charles Lusk was a good friend of his and my mom reminded me of a time she and my grandma were visiting Charlie and Bea at their place in the desert and Dan let them sit on his motorcycle. :) Peace and best wishes to your family.

The world was a better place because Dan Beal was in it, and I am confident that heaven will also be brighter now that Dan is there.

Having met Dan and Evie here in Luck Wisconsin many yesrs ago, and enjoying their company on many occasions, I can say first hand that Dan will be missed by many here. His involvement in the community, and his willingness to share his time and talents with others is greatly admired.,

I will always remember Dan's patience, when working with children, and I cherish the beautiful wooden boxes with their secret compartments that I own, that Dan made. Such talent.

Our loving thoughts and sincere condolences to Evie and the family. May your faith sustsin you, and all the beautiful, cherished memories of Dan and his amazing life with you bring you joy and peace.

Here is my fond memory of Mr. Beal, Asst. Principal at Parkview; bouncing me off the locker with one burly forefinger saying, " I didn't see my tank crew shot to (bleep) in Korea to come back and take (bleep) from little (bleep)s like you"! It is a good memory because I and the other j.d. losers knew he spoke to us that way not out of spite but because he cared, which meant a lot to us. Mr. Beal could have done anything in life and chose to work with kids, often going way above and beyond to help. My sympathy to his family, I thought I might attend the service but the Mr. Beal I knew could never die, and that's how I will remember him.

I just heard from my mother, Jackie Hays, who worked with Dan in the Roseville Schools that he passed away. I was so sorry to hear this. I had Mr. Beal as my vice principle at Fairview Jr. High School. I have vivid memories of him keeping us teenagers in line. He obviously had some concerns about me and brought me into his office for quite some time discussing with me in his own special way what type of future I wanted for myself. I still appreciate that he cared so much to do that even though I was scared at the time! My deepest sympathies to the Beal family.

His guidance and "push" helped me make it as a special education teacher in Roseville for 25 years. He was always there to answer questions and give encouragement. Thanks, Dan. I will always remember you and try to help others who are in the new shoes that I was in at Parkview. Peace.

Eric, I am sorry for your loss. I guess he will always be "Mr. Beal" to me and i suppose I'm still a little bit afraid he might reprimand me for talking during a demonstration of the metal lathe. He was a great teacher, and I am sure he was also a wonderful father.

I had the privilege of knowing Dan Beal in three different circumstances. One being our church family at Wesley Methodist Church, of course as our principal at Parkview but most important as one of his caregivers. I will cherish Dan and keep him in a special place in my heart. He was loved. In Grace Kim

Mister Beal was a Saint, being an assistant principal at Parkview Jr. High.
I have fond memories of many talks with him. He was the most caring educator, truly cared for his student's well being. He made an impact on a lot of our lives.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Beal is how I knew this great manhe was my principal at Parkview Jr. High. I got into trouble one time and only one time the hour he spent talking to me change my life. Years later I found out that he had a cabin on the same lake as my Godparents. I just seen Mr. Beal a few years back when visiting my Godparents and he showed us the beautiful work he had done with all those agates he found. May God be with his family in their time of sorrow.

Dan added an extra dimension to life for all of us who knew him. He was dedicated to improving the lives of everyone with his infectious wonder and excitement. He bridged the gap of art and science and understood they are the same thing. We miss him very much

My Condolences to Dans Family
I knew Dan long ago when we were very young. I lived in Golden Valley, Minnesota and attended Meadowbrook grade school & Glenwood Chapel for Church and Sunday School. I am also 82 years young and have pleasant memories of the Beal family. My two older sisters are Shirley and Ellen. I have two younger brothers,Dale & Tim. My folks were Arvid and Dagny Johnson. Back then we lived on a farm on Glenwood Ave. I don't remember where the Beal family lived.I think my sister Ellen was a friend of Hope Beal.
May God be with all of you in your time of sorrow.

Dear Evie,

My son Daniel called with news of great sadness regarding my dear friend. What a great man Dan was!

I will forever remember that he saved my son Dan from drowning and that you took Jeff into your home when he needed it and loved him like your own...and I remember when we took 15 kids to the Boundary Waters for two weeks and he was the tough, caring Marine Drill Sargent for both the kids and me!

Now I picture him paddling his canoe towards a magnificent sunset and the arms of our Heavenly Father.
