Although, I didn't know Dan well, we worked together on a number of State of Minnesota projects. He was an ideal co-worker, always well prepared, creative and courteous in his relationships with everyone, regardless of rank or position. He faced his illness with courage, humor and great hope. Godspeed, Dan, and sincerest sympathy to the Sunder family.

Dan and I worked together. He is a good one, and will be missed.

Dan fought a very long battle with his disease. And with Kathy alongside him the entire journey. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family and, of course, Pugsley, at this time.

My deepest sympathy to Kathy and the Sunder family. Dan was an inspiration to many and a true leader by example. Dan wanted to bring everyone around him to their highest level. I loved his wild sense of humor, but I so respected Dan as a dedicated teacher, great boss and more important a great friend to work with. Dan was a tireless and courageous manager of conservation and a servant of natures abundance. I will be forever grateful for the team bonds we forged at the cabin, woods and lake. Farewell Dan, you were the best mate a crew could ever ask for.
