Ashlee I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I enjoyed working with her at Dayton's and Marshall Field's Maplewood. We had a great group to work with and your mom had a lot to do with that. With sincere sympathy.

Dear Ashlee and Steve,

I am so sorry. Ellen was such a cool woman. I loved her straightforward style and admired her strength. Ellen was my sister's best friend and partner in crime. How I loved hearing the stories over the last 40+ years! Jean had the most wonderful and irreplaceable friend in Ellen.

I also worked for Ellen at Dayton's back in the day and she was a great boss. Dayton's/Marshall Fields/Macy's had a stellar employee for many years.

Ellen, RIP. You are loved by many and left us with great memories. As Ashlee said - too soon - but on your own terms. Miss you - love you - no more pain dear Ellen. Thanks for all of the laughs. Janet

I was fortunate to have been able to have Ellen as a friend,co-worker. Working together in St.Paul was a great time in my life and Ellen was one of the reasons why. Ashley you were born about the same time as my son and my wife and I spent lots of time w/ you and your mom in those early days and had lots of fun. I'll always remember her laugh and work ethic but mostly her love for you. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to say goodbye in person as sometimes life gets in the way of what's important. Our thoughts are with you and your entire family as you continue on without her.She will always be with you though I'm sure of that.
