Cyndy and Family,
There was only one Andy. It is very hard to accept he will not be on the other end of that last minute call saying, sure I will help just tell me where to meet. I think the poor man ate a lot of unplanned lunches. Gosh, he will be missed. When the rain came down tonight I pictured him on Madeline Island. As the wildflowers come up in the spring I will think of the many projects he worked on still growing. From one Irish friend to another, thank-you Andy.
A wonderful man, a wonderful memory and a great loss to all.
I was so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. I worked with him on political campaigns and spent plenty of times meeting with him at Bread and Chocolate discussing politics and mutual friends. My best wishes to your family. I enjoyed knowing him.
Dear Cyndy, Andy could not have been what he was without you. The two of you have distinguished records in the fight for a progressive future. Everyone thanks both of you for being the people you are and making the great contributions that you have. Henry Langberg from Detroit sends his condolences too.
My deepest sympathies at the loss of your dear husband. I hope you will find consolation in your gardening and your time helping others with gardening issues. These things have helped me a great deal. Sincerely, Eileen
Andy was rarely satisfied with the status quo. He almost always was asking why we were't doing something to make things better. Andy contributed generously of his time and talents to pushing us all along toward making St. Paul and Minnesota a better place.
To prepare for Andy's Aug 31 memorial, there is a Facebook page that has been created: "A Celebration of Andy Driscoll". If you plan on attending, please RSVP at that page so that the hosts can prepare appropriately. Peace and love to all that loved and respected Dad.
Andy was a fine man with an exceptional intellect and seemingly boundless energy. He touched my life and I am grateful for having known him. My deepest sympathies to Cyndy and all of Andy's family.
Andy was a wonderful, intelligent and helpful friend! We worked on the Central High School reunions for many years! He was always a willing worker! He will be sadly missed by all of us! Rest in Peace my friend!
Andy's many contributions to the public good, his charm, intelligence and good humor will be sadly missed. My deepest sympathy to Cyndy and the family.
Andy had passion and cared deeply about his community. For his family and close friends his passing is very sad. We owe it to him to add just a little of his passion to our lives.
I am sorry to hear of Andy's passing. He was always an interesting man to talk to. I am sure my departed brother Bob and him have renewed their discussion as we speak.
Sorry to hear of Andy's passing. He was always an interesting person to talk to. I can hear the conversation now between my departed brother Bob and Andy.
Uncle Mike - I'm so sorry to here about your brother Andy. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family at this difficult time.
Dear Cyndy and the family -- let me add my deepest condolences on Andy's passing. He and I compared Native and Irish culture over many conversations and we were happy to see the similarities. Death is a journey of many steps, the first of which, leaving this world is the end and the beginning. I wish all the family comfort in the days ahead. Thank you for sharing such a talented and wonderful person with the world.
What a great character Andy was! The Twin Cities is definitely a poorer place without him. He cared strongly about all people and the ways to make life better for them, i.e., political action. He will be missed!
