Rest in Peace dear Howie. I will always remember you fondly. Such a kind and thoughtful man. I imagine you now tending a beautiful garden in Heaven.
Rest in Peace, Sweet Howie. You were a wonderful neighbor and you are such a good man. You have been a sincere friend to many from all generations living on Windgate Road. You will live forever in our hearts, in our memories and in our gardens.
You have been a friend for many years and will be missed terribly. Windgate was known because of your beautiful gardens with vegetables hidden among the flowers. We will miss you so.
You have shared some wonderful stories about your Dad being a great cook, gardener, salesman, all around good person and war hero.
Don and I are so sorry for your loss.
We know you will miss him deeply but he will always be there in your heart.
How lucky I am to have known Uncle Howie all my life; every Thanksgiving, I make the knock-off version of his 'Wild Howie Dressing'. Big personality, great wit. One of the Patriarchs of our extended family. You will be missed Uncle Howie.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Cherished memories fishing with Howie and my dad in Canada and all around the Twin Cities. He was a great friend and neighbor to my mom. Rest in Peace Marine, Semper Fi!
I can never forget Uncle Howie, his smile and his wit. He always brought so much joy. He will be greatly missed.
I feel so fortunate that I was able to know Howie. He was an amazing man who made me smile every time I saw him. I will miss his hugs.
Very sorry to hear of Howie's passing. I was fortunate to work with him for many years. He was an outstanding salesman and truly taught me how to sell. He was a kind man with a great sense of humor. He was easy going, loved to garden and fish. He made anyone in his presence feel comfortable. He was a very good man and will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.
In past years, I feel fortunate to have experienced Howie's love for cooking along with his sense of humor. I will always remember that. Dane, we have also shared many memories together over the years that I will never forget. I am very sorry for your loss.
My biggest memory of Howie was when as a young boy, I was invited to the Clausen home to enjoy his great cooking with the family. I love you Dane, my oldest and closest pal.
