We were proud to count Mary Ruth among our number. On behalf of the National Council and Board of Trustees of Mortar Board, I offer the most sincere regard for her lifetime of scholarship, service and leadership and my deepest sympathy for your loss.
To the Family of Mary Ruth Barton - We never met your mother but feel that we know her through her beautiful home on Lake Superior. We are at Horozon now for a week and spent a week here last spring, as well. My sympathy to all of you. She lives on, here on the shore of beautiful Lake Superior. Blessings. Kittie... I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing.
Kittie, I was so sorry to hear about your mom's passing.
She was such a colorful character in our childhood. It always felt like she was the leader of a pack of smiling-faced kids, much like Peter Pan, rather than like the traditional "moms" of the 50's. I admired her. It was always an adventure visiting your house. Happy to hear the rest of her life was as fascinating. My thoughts and prayers to the rest of the pack.
