Jim,
My heart goes out to you on the loss of your mother, especially since you just lost your sister. My prayers are with you at this sad time of your life.

Great Aunt Irene was a loving and kind person and I recently received several letters from her that included photos of her darling great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Irene. She treasured her family and she was a treasure herself.

We first knew Irene as "Grandma Kaempfer" as she was called by her loving grand-daughter, Jessica, our God- daughter. The two of them shared a special bond which became apparent to us when Jessi gave Kaitlyn her middle name, Irene. We now learn that she won 5 bronze stars, serving valiantly during WWII as well as earning a purple heart. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

I called her Ma. She was an angel living amongst us. I feel blessed to have known her and been in her presence. She was truly good, loving, giving, there will never be another like her. I'll miss her til the day I die. To her family: to have her as a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother is something not everyone can experience she loved you all more than words can say. I'm so sorry for your (our) loss, she also loved all her nieces and nephews. Corrine you were so special to her, we talked about you often, I feel you are so much like her and I feel blessed to know you as well. Jim, to lose your twin Sister and your Mother within 5 months is almost more than anyone can endure and I pray that you get through this with love and grace, as she would have wanted. Jessi you were the light in her heart, and Kaitlyn brought all the lights together for her. I love you all and pray that your suffering will soon pass and you can only remember the good things she brought to your lives.
