Colleen, Dan, Bill, Kassy and John:
Father Eugene had called with the sad news.
I remember the first time I met your dad. Pat and I were busy shoveling soybeans out of a makeshift bin dad had constructed. I suppose we were about 13 years old. It was dusty hard work and truly something we never looked forward to. I looked up and there was this man's silhouette standing in the doorway. He was smiling and dressed in a suit and tie. We stopped what we were doing and walked over to see what the stranger wanted. He introduced himself as Aunt Teresa's son-in-law and he talked at length about our activity and what we were doing. I suspect he was just traveling through the area and out of consideration stopped in. I think about that visit from time to time. How nice it was for him to go out of his way and stop for a visit at the end of a busy day.
He was always so interested in extended family
and always so full of life.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
May God Bless you all.
Kevin, Becky, Katie, Connor, and Brendan Branick
