Brother John was an incredible all around guy. He always spoke of his wife Marge & his kids with the highest love, respect, and admiration for their accomplishments. John was the perfect captain for that ship and crew. I pestered him with questions about life growing up and he was always willing to help with some simple common sense answers for his little brother. John was so proud of his fellow volunteer fire fighters and along with the full time firemen might be considered todays modern band of brothers. I miss you big time Johnny and love you deep. Thanks for the memories, they help carry us on. Marty

When I think of John I think of a big smile and a hearty laugh. Those are my memories of the Jensen household in the 60's when we would visit them Thanksgiving for a holiday of good food, football, poker games in the basement and lots of laughter til the wee hours of the morning. Being the younger cousin and a girl, I was only involved in the food part but I remember all the adults having a blast. John was always saying something funny and Marge would lovingly scold him (on occasion) while laughing herself saying "John!".
I am grateful I had the occasion to see John again 3 years ago. My love and condolences to all of his family.

Our families used to visit a few times each year when we were kids, even though my family lived way down south in Faribo. I remember once while leaving the Jensen's house for Faribo, John, having noticed that I had enjoyed playing with a toy clarinet, told me that I could have it. That really made my day!
In August of 2011, John and Margie invited me and Max and Duane over for a BBQ, we had a great time visiting and eating. I remember John's hobby room, his tools and supplies were so very well organized. John built miniature houses, the intricate details were amazing.
We also took many pictures that day, John easily gave the best pose. What a great day, I think about that visit often.
I have lived away from MN for most of my adult life, and you could say that I lost touch with John, but I will always fondly remember my cousin.

John was a great friend and a great member of the cemetery crew at St. Peter's. We also had a lot of fun with him during our famous saftey meetings. He will be sadly missed. Bob Mohar
