Junie was my next door neighbor in St. Louis Park and bff from first grade to jr. high. We lost touch through the years and I googled her to find her and wish her happy 80th birthday. Too late, but I will always remember my pal.

I now spend my winters in Arizona and heard from a friend of a friend that her former gym teacher had died. I inquired who that was as I too had taught Phy. Ed/Health in the North St. Paul School district. When I heard it was June I was sad as that did close a chapter in my life. I taught with June at North High and Tartan High from 1968-72. I enjoyed every minute teaching with her as she was like my mentor ( I was the new kid who just graduated). She taught me many valuable lessons in life. She and Ruth even came to visit me in Wisconsin and we had a running bet on the Packer/Vikling football game. It is with heavy heart that she is gone. I have wonderful memories of our times together both at work and at play!!!!

One of the most special people in the gym class days of long ago. She will always be remembered so fondly.

I can honestly that Miss Cochrane was one of my favorite and best teachers of all. I had her in 10th grade gym and health at North St. Paul High School back in 1966-67. I was not one of the best students in her class but she had patience and a great sense of humor and took time to give me the encouragement I needed at the time. I remember her grey hair and beautiful wool pleated skirts and sweaters. She had a beautiful smile. Debbie Monson Connor Class of 69.
