Darlene and Family

I was sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. My fondest childhood memories are the visits to your mom and dad's home. Your mom was a master of the mangle iron. She ironed sheets, towels, dining linens, everything. She is the only person I ever knew to have a mangle so it was fun to watch her zip through the ironing. After we played games or watched TV (we did not have a set in our home) your mom would set the dining room table with cloth napkins, china, and gold silverware. It was the only time I ever saw a formal table setting. Then came the great food. No matter when you visited she always had a meal or snack for her guests. My family was very fortunate to know the Johnsons on James Avenue.
