Aidrey...I just learned of Roy's passing. So very sorry to hear that. My sympathy to you and your family.

As a young player on the scene, Roy was always generous with good advice, and full of encouragement to me. One of those gentle souls we all feel grateful to have known. Best wishes and condolences to Audrey.

I knew Roy through lots of big band and convention gigs, not to mention the infamous sports show days. Roy was one of a kind. I never knew anyone with more enthusiasm for music and just playing music. He was a wonderful role model for that!

Through Roy I experienced a love and appreciation for great music and classic films. Laurel and Hardy just won't be as funny without Roy telling me they are!
Will miss you Roy,
Gil Carlson
