I am keeping a candle lit for you for 49 days and reading "The Thirty Seven Bodhisattva Practices" daily for you. Thank you for all that you have done. My life is enriched because of you. My son's life would have been a wreck without you. I remember you answering my question if your mother had to be Jewish to be Jewish and you said- yes or you had to have two sister-in-laws that were Jewish. You were the best - always. My love to you. Kris (noelle) ps my sincerest condolences to your family.

Shirley Chase, My Cousin, my rock. I have had you in my life since the day I was born. Our families were not like most, we did everything together. Every holiday, birthday was cause for celebration, and boy we sure did. When we asked who would be at a event, we were always told "just family", I knew that meant, Swiler/Chase together. There you were, asking me how it was going, giving me advice on the latest book to read, or just chatting about your latest trip. When we needed you most, when we had to get our business going, you were there to get it done. Boy, oh boy, you did! I love that you worked out a barter with Jim. He was more than happy to come over and take care of the house for you and Tim. Usually, his last stop of the day so he could spend extra time talking with one or both of you.
I will miss you my dear cousin, more than you know. That chat we had in the Kitchen last year, will still remain between just us.
Love you, Miss you,
Beva (Swiler) Steinberg

It is so hard for me to express in words just how Shirley impacted my life. I had the privilege of feeling like she was one of my best friends for some 45 years and those memories are cherished and will never stop. She is truely one in a million and will be in my heart for ever.
