My father Chester Alfred Hill was a good man. Chet was a straight shooting, fair minded 'Regular Guy' and a fantastic Craftsman who could build a house with hand tools alone. Chet knew every aspect of the build from foundation to front door. He loved his parents and looked after this father in his later years. Mostly he loved his wife Ruth Marie for close to 65 years. Ruthe was 'everything' to Chet. Chet was a loyal husband and a good provider. He could HUNT and FISH and had solid ideals and values. Chet had honor and he could be counted on to stand up for what he believed in. He expressed himself with action. I am proud to have been his Son.

I have enjoyed knowing Chet and Ruthe Schamber Hill since 1947 when we were young. We kept in touch from time to time throughout the many years. One of the most memorable times together was when my husband and I were guests in their lovely Sun City West, Arizona home. Rest in Peace dear friend.
