I had the good fortune to meet and speak with you not so very long ago at a book signing you were doing on Long Island. You were gracious, funny, and completely accessible. It was a joy meeting you. You saved N.Y.C. and put it back on top. God gave you to us for 88yrs- quite a wonderful run, Mr. Koch. N.Y.C. finally has an official guardian angel-and one with chutzpha! God speed dear friend-Thanks Ed, -see you later. Rick

Mayor Koch was a mench. I love his jewish Humor, fierce Love for the City of New York, his faith, his person and the 8. million people of New York. He could not stand not be home for one night and often flew back at whatever it took to be home. What loyalty. Well rest in peace sir, from a goy who appreciate your humor and zest.
