I remember quite well what a warm, friendly man Mr. Busch was when Julie and I were in elementary school. Now having read his obituary I know he was also a patriot of the first order. Sincerest condolences to the family.

I met Bert in China with the Flying Tigers-CNAC group in 1982. What an intelligent, personable, funny guy! Up until a couple of years ago, we had exchanged Christmas cards after all that time (I guess age finally got the best of the old war horse.).
Although he was also modest --- I never knew of his former employment or even of his helicopter rating --- he was a proud patriot.

A good guy, a good American, a good husband and grandfather; the world has lost one of the best.
