Dear Verl & Family, Years ago I golfed with Larry and my Brother, Paul. Larry was so interesting to golf and visit with. My brother really liked Larry and talked about him often. Just recently I was looking at clippings from Pauls days in Ukiah and there was Larry at a tournament he & Paul played in Las Vegas.
I miss my brother Paul all the time so I can relate to your feelings. The world and Ukiah is a much better place because of Larry. Bill Underwood [email protected]

Dear Vern and Family:
Years ago when I grew up in Ukiah I caddied for Bill Clark. I was one of the first junior golfers under the Pro Shirley Sport in the mid 50s. When, older I would often play golf with Larry and Jack until I transferred to Arizona over 40 years ago. I was the men's club president when we opened the new nine holes in 1972 playing with Paul in the first foursome. On the few occasions when I returned Ukiah I could always expect to see Larry and greated with a booming Hello. He was always a joy to be around and always had a big presence. My condolences to his family. "Fair Winds and Following Seas" Larry.

Verl and family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your father. He was a super individual and was the backbone of our NCGA match team back in 2001 when we won the whole enchilada. He will be greatly missed.

My dad, Bill Clarke, was very fond of golfing with Larry, and they shared may happen times at the Ukiah golf course with all their buddies. It is with greatest sadness that I read of Larry's passing today. The contributions made by people like Larry and my dad, who both served in the military during WW-II, are what made this community such a wonderful place. Larry will be very, very missed. Diana Clarke
