Mr. Bostick, I dedicate this poem to you.

You were the grandpa who watched us grow up through our teenage years at the Buddhist boarding school for those grateful and blessed 7 years,
You were the grandpa who made sure Halloween was full of candies and no fear,
Trying to hold back my tears,
You were the grandpa who always helped us out when we were miserable.
You were the grandpa who loved all of the students as his own grandchildren.
You were the grandpa who was there for our high school graduation.
Always at our basketball games getting the crowd to cheer like drum rolls.
And always gave your undivided attention.
Made sure we stayed out of detention
By telling us to keep doing meditation.
You were the grandpa who truly listened,
Before I forget to mention,
You were the grandpa who had arms that always hold,
You had the love that's never ending,
Good karma and good vibes you keep sending,
And a heart that's made of gold.
You always made sure that we were full,
And always told us to wear more and not be cold, Despite all the trouble we made,
You always know.
We all love you so!!!!
Just so you know,
Just like how much the pictures show.

Mr. Bostick was one of the best principals and advisors I've ever had. He constantly supported me with words of encouragement, and he always made me feel confident and optimistic, regardless of how I was feeling beforehand. As a compassionate, grandfatherly figure at our school, he played quite a role in my moral and academic development.
