I've been thinking of Pete lately, remembering the fun we had during summers in Redwood Valley, he was a part of my growing to love horses. When Sharyn's letter came I let it just sit for awhile. I felt what it said when I touched it and just wanted to remember him alive for a bit yet. I'm so very sorry, I know he will be missed by many.

I knew Pete when I was 14 and he was 15 in Redwood Valley. We both belonged to the Redwood Riders. His horse was Bartender and mine was Dolly. My aunt Velma Dockins told me of his passing. Made me sad to hear of this even though I had not seen Pete since we were teenagers. It sounds like Pete had a wonderful life doing the kind of things that he loved. My sincere condolences to his wife, sons and family.
