Dear Dad,
I dont know where to begin...I miss you more than you could ever imagine! I am still having a very difficult time adjusting to life without you in it. So many times I want to pick up the phone and call to tell you what's going on in my life. I miss hearing your deep, soft, sweet reassuring voice and our long talks about everything and nothing...and if only I could share all the new things going on with the girls. Dad, they are growing up so fast. Oh how I wish you were here to see what beauties they are becoming! I love you so very much and hope you're keeping an eye on things as always! I hope you can hear me when I'm alone reaching out and speaking to you and know that I heard you loud and clear. I am doing my best and trying to stay strong! Xo

I knew of Jim for years and finally met him in what noone knew was the final year of his life via Michael Doyle. Thaat short period of time made me wish I had come to know this warm hearted, and generously spirited man for longer. We never lose those we love, they remain in our hearts forever.

What can I say about the sweetest man who ever lived? You were funny, generous, caring and great at your job. You loved working in the lab, not because of the 'prestige', but because of the kindness and caring attitude you felt for the animals in your care. During the flood in the lab, you even shared with me how you gave mouth-to-mouth to the mice, whom you had raised to be of great value in the research department. Only you would do CPR on a mouse! I remember the emu story, or maybe it was an ostrich, who escaped the lab and ended up in an elevator with a very confused lady! When you stayed with me in Boston, each night the question was not 'How was your day?', but rather, 'What should we order for dinner?'
I love you and miss you, and there will never be another one like you....God Bless Jim.

Wanted to add another photo of just the handsome Jim!

Jim, No tribute to you would be complete without a photo of Miss Elizabeth Taylor. So many times during the day I see something or hear something, and I want to call you up to tell you.
You were a rare person, someone who was genuinely interested in listening to others, you were always there to help someone out, never expecting anything in return. If anyone ever lived up to their religious beliefs, it was you.
I know you are with your mother and father, Louise, Kitty, Neil, and all that you loved so much.
You were so lucky to have Jay and Laura and your grandchildren.
I miss you Jim, but know you are in a better place.
Mike Doyle
