Wilson Josiah Remick 1924 - 2018
MARCY - Wilson Josiah Remick, 93, formerly of Marcy, passed away on September 1, 2018 in Ithaca.
Wilson was born in 1924, to parents Edward C. and Beatrice C. (Mishou) Remick, in Springvale, ME and grew up in Marblehead, MA. He studied electrical engineering at MIT and Brown University and later at Northeastern University where he earned a Master of Electrical Engineering. Wilson was employed as an engineer in General Electric Company's aerospace division for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
Wilson honorably served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. In 1947, he married Virginia Swift in Cranston, Rhode Island. They were married for 65 years, until her passing in 2012.
Wilson is survived by his daughter, Judith Henry (Michael), of Rochester; son, David Remick (Robin), of Ithaca; and by five loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Edward B. Remick, of Marblehead, MA and Robert W. Remick of Ponce, Puerto Rico, predeceased him.
Interment will be in Marblehead, MA. In keeping with Wilson's wishes, there are no calling hours.

There are some students one just does not forget. I still remember you as that elementary student of mine. As you know, I would run into your mother frequently and be updated on you and David. My sympathy to you and Brother David.
