I just learned of Dr. Simon's passing and I'm so sad at learning this. I worked at Alvarado from 1984-1999 and had the pleasure of knowing him both professionally and socially. My deepest condolences to the Simon family.

I was very sad to learn of Allan's death. We were friends from NIH to UCSD but lost touch a few years ago. Bill, John D. and Allan came to UCSD at one point and now they have all three passed away. My condolences to the girls, who perhaps remember me. Sally Ashburn

We lost touch with Allan quite a few years ago, but we were good friends in our early years in San Diego. His few years at Kaiser demonstrated his superb radiologic skills. Marcia and I, as well as Lori, Judith and Dara, send our condolences and love to the family.

Allan was a good friend to both of us and we are saddened to learn of his passing. He was David's sailing mentor and we have wonderful memories of sailing with him in San Diego. We miss his smile and gentle manner. We also enjoyed walking the Milford Track with Allan and Renee. David and Christine Sahn

Allan was a good friend and very supportive mentor at the onset of our careers in San Diego. We were also neighbors and our children played together. My very first ever complicated pediatric cardiac catheterization at UCSD was on a Saturday ; an emergency; newborn baby dying; Al talked me through it - that baby was class valedictorian 18 years later !!
Regards to the girls from Roz and myself, our 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Stan and Roz Pappelbaum
