Barb and I were friends for years in the 70s. We had so much fun, partying and having a good time. I miss her very much. She had the best smile. I think of her often and wish she had lived longer. Love, Shirley Jacobs

Memories of my childhood growing up with Barbara keep playing through my mind. Like Karen, Barb and I were good friends throughout our childhood and into adulthood. We lost track when Barb and John moved to St. Louis, but I would often think of her and wanted to reconnect. I'm so sorry that never happened.
My favorite memories include those infamous backyard camp outs, and the 'French pancakes' Mrs. Kyle would make for breakfast. Going to Carnations for sundaes on a summer evening, and going to the dances at the Community Concourse.
Our trips to the beach became much more frequent when Barb and Carol got the Rambler. It would take me all summer to get the tan that Barb could get in one day!
Of all the times we spent together, the most memorable was the summer of 1967, when Barb, Carol, a friend of Carol's and I rented a beach house in South Mission for a week. I still can't believe my parents let me do it, especially recalling those times when my own daughters were sixteen. It was all very innocent, and a cherished memory.
Barb was a beautiful person, inside and out. I'm so thankful to have known her.

I met Barb during the early 1980's and the chemistry was perfect. Monique was so exceptional that I was able to partially overcome my allergy to children so I could be with Barb. We were a couple for about a year and a half to two years before her migraines started and we struggled for another couple of years to find a cure for the problem. Even as she fought through these challenges she never lost her capacity to love and care.
She was soooo full of energy and life before the migraines started. One thing that I'll never forget is her unique and wonderful laugh that seemed to "explode" from her regularly.
Barb, I've continued to carry my love for you in my heart over the decades. It was extremely hard for me to hear that you continued to suffer with all that pain throughout your life. I miss you very much. Thank you for the precious time we had together.
Monique, I was so pleased to see how you've grown into such a beautiful, poised and caring adult. Of course that's really no surprise, as you were a model child when I knew you.
Finally, Les – thank you for taking care of Barb as you both struggled with your illnesses. She was very lucky to have you during the last few years of her life.

Barbara and I were close friends in elementary thu High School. I'll never forget the slumber parties we had at her parents house. We were all sleeping in a tent when we had to go to the bathroom. So we thought we were being sneaky and doing it outside next to the tent. The next morning when we woke up the grass was dead. Her dad was not very happy with us. But what a good memory. I was so glad she and Carol were a part of my life.

Monique, I know that you don't know me, but I worked with your Mother at Germania. My husband and I had many wonderful visits with your parents. A few years ago, she was in our area for New Year's Eve and looked us up. She celebrated with our friends and family. She bought new red boots and danced all night long. We are so sorry to hear about her passing. Kathy and Harry Mason

So sorry to read of Barbara's passing. My wife Debbie Saunders( Brackmann) was best of friends all during high School with Barb & Carol. Over the years we lost contact with Barb, but here name would come up in other classmates conversations.
