Mrs. Grant was my flute teacher 22 years ago, she was so kind and patient with me. She taught me not only how to play but to be a kind person. I'm so very grateful to have met her and her.

I am just now reading of Winona's passing and my heart is saddened. Winona and I roomed together at a flute convention some years ago, and she stole my heart with her kindness, musicianship, and sense of humor. We stayed in touch until she moved to Poway and I will always cherish her lengthy, newsy letters!. Thinking of the family this Christmas without their mom and grandma. May God bless you all!!
