Not sure what to say?

Dear Barbara & Doug.
I just want you to know that Bart & I are thinking of you and your family. Your Dad was such a blessing to so many. I'll always remember him for his faith and love for Christ and the UMC. He,Ed Rowe and one other were instrumental in organizing the Virginia Conference (United) Methodist Men. He instilled that love of Christ into a very special daughter and his whole family...as well as those who came into his presence. God blesses us with faithful servants like Al White. God bless each of you with His comforting peace and His promise of Eternal Life.
We love you.
Beverly & Bart.

We have been honored to receive so many gifts in honor of Mr. White at Child Development Resources. We will, as always, send notice and thanks to all. But, I did want to say that it is clear that this was a very special man, known and respected by so many people in the Williamsburg community. CDR is sincerely honored, and we thank the White family for all of their support over many years.

Dear Martha, I was so very sorry to hear about the death of your dad. He and your mom were so kind to Mark and me when we moved to Williamsburg thirty some years ago. He represented the Southern gentleman I had only read about in books and together with your mom and you, your family gave the term "Southern hospitality" new meaning to us. Your father will live on because he changed lives, like ours, with his kind, gentle nature. Hugs to you, Martha, and your mom and family. Bev and Mark Frankel, Williamsburg, VA

I met Al when Murph was a school board member. He was a quiet dignified man who always showed appreciation for educators and their work. I am saddened that he has left this world and I send my deepest sympathy to Murph and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Frances, I was distressed to hear of Al's passing. Although we didn't see a lot of each other over the years, I remember him as a good friend in Newport News and at Randolph-Macon. In recent years, Jackie Greer has kept me up to date on your well being. Remember, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you and your family.

I was first introduced to Al as a prospective employee at NNS in 1964. I had just graduated from NC State and was seeking my first real paying job - Boy, was I scared. Lucky for me, I got hired and assigned to work in Al's section of Quality Inspection. He became a great mentor and friend during the time we were together. We also spent extra time together going to/from work since we either rode together or were on the same bus a lot. Al also cosigned my first loan at the Credit Union - that meant a lot to me. Take care and may God continue to bless your family.
