My condolences to the family. Ed was my mentor for many years. He was always generous with advice from the first time we met until the last time I saw him. He helped me grow in my Army career from a private to a Chief Warrant Officer 4. I was honored to go to war with him and I would be honored to follow him again anywhere.

It is by happenstance that I learned of the passing of Ed Mangano. While our lives diverged many years ago, I will always remember him as a wonderful husband and father to his family. May he be greeted with open arms in heaven.

Dear Anne,
My deepest sympathy for you and your family.
I only regret I never got the enjoyment of
knowing you better. I always looked over and
waited and waited for your new home.
..Best, Anne

From Art & Rose Bornschein, We learned of Ed"s passing in last Sat's Gazette. Ed and I grew up together in Queens, NYC and by chance lived one street away, here in Williamsburg, Va. I knew of Ed's poor health over the past year but hadn't expected what I read last week.
Rose and I would like to add our condolences to Anna and her family. It is with deep regret and sorrow for Ed's passing.
I have tried to contact Anna to no avail but I would like to speak with her when she is ready. I understand what she may be feeling at this time, and wish nothing but the best for her and her family. Art

I'm sorry for your loss. CW5 Ed Mangano was a great mentor and a good friend. I served with him for many years in the Army after he had retired from the NYPD. He will be missed.
