Dear Mrs. Baker,

Chips and I send our sympathy for your great loss. Dr. Baker was a wonderful community leader, citizen, and superb Sunday School teacher. He inspired all of us in the Alpha Class at the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church when we joined forces. Sincerely, Sarah Houghland

Dear Edna and Family,

I just returned from an overseas trip to learn the sad news of Dr. Baker's passing. He was a good, gentle, wise person who laughed easily and made everyone comfortable in his presence. He will certainly be missed by many.

Dear Mrs. Baker and family,
It is with deepest regrets to hear of Dr. Baker's home going. Dr. Baker blessed so many people over the course of his time with us. It was a pleasure to drive him around the Meharry Medical College campus at his last Class Reunion. You'll blessed me more than you know. To visit with you both in December and to hear him say " We ( meaning he and his cousin)have to make money for Meharry" was just precious! Blessings Always, Gloria D. Sanders, Meharry Medical College.

You never know where life will lead you and you certainly can't imagine a "chance meeting" of a "homey." Dr.Baker and I were destined to meet. I appreciate the personal connection of someone who was also born in West Point, MS. I shall miss our time at Sunday School and other "Burg" events.
My sincere condolences to the family.

I was pleased he joined me in celebrating a milestone birthday in 2011.
