I am heartbroken to hear of Wally's passing. He was such a wonderful guy and I feel privileged to have known him. Both Wally and Peggy showed such strength of character during this ordeal. His memory will be in my heart forever. He was my friend.
We are saddened to hear of Wally's passing. He was a good family man and a friend to all he met. He will be sorely missed.
Just found out about Wally's passing. He will be missed. May God hold the family in the palm of His hand during this time and grant you peace in the knowledge of where he is spending eternity.
My thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort are with you -The family. We know for fact he is in a peaceful and comforting place as one of God's own. Love to you all, Dianne May
I first met Wally Van Wyk when my sister married into his family. He was a Pied Piper for all of the small children (my now-25-year-old son was a toddler then) and led a parade around the reception following the Mariachi Band as they strolled and sang. He was a kind and generous soul and a great friend to children everywhere. We will all feel his loss for a long time, but I am so grateful that we had him in our lives. All of the Van Wyks are in our hearts and our prayers as you learn to enjoy life again after such a loss. Time, much love and great memories will help. Godspeed, Wally. xoxo
Wally hired me as a trainee insurance claims in 1964 and he was a great boss and tremendous teacher and friend. He and Peggy were so kind to Martha and me as we were just starting our lives together. We so admired Wally that our youngest son was named after him. Our prayers are with Peggy and her Family at this time of great loss.

Viginia and I offer our heart felt sympathy to Peggy, Bill, John & Joe for the loss of Wally. Wally was an outstanding boss who taught me the claims adjusting business and put me on the path of a career in various facets of the insurance business.
Van Wyk family, each of you are in our thoughts an prayers. We are better people for having Wally as a friend and mentor.
Wally Van Wyk was an incredible man with a great sense of humor and a great love for people. He was my Sunday School teacher and for that I am very grateful. He was a great gift to us all. Blessings to all of you family!!
I am so sorry. Wally and Peggy were very kind to my husband and me when we came to the Valley.

I met Wally back in the 70's while working as a superintendent for the contractor that built several buildings for him. Even at that young age he impressed me as the kind of man I hoped to be some day. My condolences to the family.
We extend our sympathy to the VanWyk family. Theoline Isaacson and Ione Amundson, winter residents at Tropical Trail Mobile Home Park.
I went to work for Wally when I was a young weidow with 2 daughters. I started as a front desk receptionist for his real estate company. He showed a lot of confidence in me and within a few years he promoted me to office manager teaching me all the in and outs of real estate. after he sold El Mercado i was hired as manager,a position Wally had trained me for. One of my dearest friends Ellie Barbee recommended me for this position, and both of us following his example joined several non profit organizations serving our community. I made wonderful friends in real estate like Lou Dusek among many others.Thank you Wally for believing in others and helping us along the way!
Our deepest sympathy to Peggy, Bill, John and Joe, may our good Lord give you peace and comfort
