Joe, rest in peace my friend. Edith and the family my prayers are with you all. What can I say about Joe that no one else has said about him. As loud and as he was is as big as his heart. Joe was a good man by all means, always there to lend a helping hand. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I don't think anyone well ever by like Joe. One of a kind, a gentle giant. I know everyone will miss him. He touched so many lives it's going to take a life time to forget him. Joe rest in peace my brother. The good Lord needed you, maybe for some repairs, ha,ha. We'll meet again someday. Rest in peace.

My loving brother, it has been just a week and I miss you so much. Miss your phone calls just a simple "hey sis whats going on" meant so much. We didn't get to go fishing like we had planned the same Sunday the Lord called on you. One day when we reunite we will continue with our fishing plans. Until then, say hello to mom and dad who are with you in heaven. Love always your sis Letye "Bird" Bourbois

To The Bourbois Family,

My deepest most heartfelt sympathy and condolences for your loss. God must have needed a "safety man" because my friend was all about safety. The years my family and I spent with him will be cherished and remembered in my household forever. We will miss his wonderful laugh that could heard from my house. What wonderful memories he left us. I will always cherish the moments we spent together. We will miss his barbequing and saying "S-A-U-S-A-G-E!" The world has truly lost a great person, but in our memories his light will always shine and heaven will be a better place with him.

With our deepest condolences,
Mr. & Mrs. Jose L. Morales & Family

The big brother I never had. He taught me how to make an awesome smoked Brisket. For me and my Tio Rudy what was most admirable about him was that he never abdicated his family responsibilities. I know you are with the Angels.

Bourbois Family, I offer my most heartfelt sympathy. Joe was way to young to go. Its been years that I saw him last, but, he was always cheerful and fun to be around. Growing up so close (All of us) makes it especially hard. He will be missed. Stay strong, he is resting now.

To the Bourbois and Tamez Families. Joe came into our family when her married Edith my cousin. Joe was a funny guy. Like the Obit states he was the life of the party. Joe always had his special ways with kids and making them smile, as well as the adults. He always BBQ'd and had the best fish frys. He will greatly be missed. He suffered a long time illness, an illness that is so hard to deal with. It got the best of him. Now may he rest in PEACE.
